Discover the producers of Parmigiano, Prosciutto di Parma, and Balsamic Vinegar on this full-day tour of Parma, the heart of Italian food
On this full-day tour departing from Milan, you can discover and taste some of the world's most famous Italian food specialties. You will depart from Milan by train and – the day before – our staff will give you all the necessary information and tickets for your journey. After an hour's journey, you will arrive at Parma station, and there, after a 2-minute walk, our guide will be waiting for you. He will take you by van to discover these delicacies.
You will visit a Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese factory, where you will watch the production process and listen to our guide explain the various stages. At the end, you will taste the product at various stages of aging. Then there is a visit to a producer of the renowned Prosciutto di Parma, where you will also discover all the stages of production and then taste various types.
This is followed by a typical lunch in a trattoria, where you will taste typical dishes of the area made with local ingredients. After lunch, you will visit a vinegar factory, where you can discover how the famous Balsamic Vinegar is made before returning to Milan by train.
