Description
This tiramisu class in Milan starts where most recipes skip ahead: with the coffee. In the professional kitchen of Chef and the City, in Ortica, you make real Italian coffee in a moka and learn the right way to use it, keep it and look after it. The instructors say Italians are obsessed with theirs.
The class runs for about an hour and a half. A small buffet of snacks and drinks opens the session, and after about ten minutes the group goes to work with the chef or qualified cooks beside you. Everyone has a station at the professional counters, grouped in twos to fours, and everyone makes a personal tiramisu.
- the moka pot, from brewing to storage
- each step of the traditional dessert
- the story behind Italy's most famous sweet
Once it is ready you can taste what you made. The recipes are sent digitally, as a QR code or a photo, so the tiramisu can be repeated at home. The instructor speaks English and Italian.
Pets, strollers and luggage stay outside the kitchen, you cannot bring your own food or drink, and the class is not recommended for pregnant women.
