The museum, located near the Pusterla of Sant 'Ambrogio (ancient entrance to the city), houses a collection of ancient weapons and instruments of torture from the Middle Ages to the early Nineteenth Century.
Fans of the genre will find examples of guillotines, a garrote, a very old electric chair, a pole used by the ancient Turks to impale, the "bed of torture," and different types of whips, including the famous "cat o 'nine tails."
