Description
This hot air balloon flight near Milan leaves from San Colombano al Lambro, about 45 kilometres from the city, and floats over vines and fields across the Po Valley. You meet your pilot, are driven to a close-by take-off spot for the briefing and, if you like, lend a hand while the balloon is inflated.
Then you lift off. The wind decides the direction, though the pilot can find different air currents by making the balloon rise or sink. The ceiling is 500 metres, and up there it is hardly cooler than on the ground. The view runs all the way round, with the Alps, the Apennines and, in the distance, the skyline of Milan.
The ground crew tracks the balloon, so after landing a Jeep is ready to drive you back to San Colombano. The flight lasts roughly 40 to 60 minutes, and the outing as a whole about three hours.
- Detailed pre-flight briefing
- Local DOC wine to toast the flight
- Your first-flight certificate, with the pilot's signature

Children must be at least 8 years old and 1.3 metres tall. The flight is closed to pregnant women, passengers above 110 kg, and people with recent surgery or reduced mobility. Transfers from Milan are not included.
